The Diabolical Developer’s Guide to Running a Geo, Timezone, Gender, Culture and Neuro Diverse Engineering Group During a Global Shutdown

Session

Microsoft’s Java Engineering Group has always been geo- and timezone-diverse, with its accompanying positives and challenges. With the near-global shutdown due to COVID-19, this group was also forced to begin fully Working From Home (WFH). In this talk, the Diabolical Developer covers all of the social, cultural, communication and technical best practices his group put in place to not only just to survive as a team, but to really excel as a remote, diverse group during a challenging time.
